Five parameters are appended to eligible URLs in any email campaign with Google Analytics enabled. These variables and their associated values are described below.
- utm_source = VerticalResponse (constant)
- utm_medium = Email (constant)
- utm_term = this is the text associated with your link (this is referenced as the Keyword or Adword in Google Analytics)
- utm_campaign = your email campaign subject line
- utm_content = a optional merge field that may be selected on the email launch page
