Why do I need a TEXT version of my HTML email?

All emails sent through VerticalResponse require HTML and a text back-up version. Most recipients will receive the HTML version, and those who are unable to receive the HTML version will receive the Text back-up version.

Before leaving the Email Creation page, you must have some content in the Text version of your email message. To do so:

In the Wizard editor, click on the Email Options tab, then uncheck the box for Auto-Generate Text Version. Click OK, and the page will refresh. A new frame will appear near the bottom of the page, below your html content. Here you can add and edit text for the text version of your email.

In the Canvas and Freeform editors: Above the content window, you can see a checkbox called "Generate Text Version Automatically." Uncheck this box, and click on the Text Version tab (to the immediate left) to add and edit text for your text version.
