How do I add “Email Opt Out field” to page layout for Leads and Contacts?

Leads

  1. Click on "Setup” at the top of the page (it might also be located under user's name)
  2. On the left side of the page, under App Setup, click on Customize | Leads | Page Layouts.
  3. Click "Edit" next to the page layout you will be sending the campaign from (if you don’t have an edit button you’re already looking at the page layout).
  4. Look for the “Email Opt Out” field on the Lead Layout dashboard at the top of the page and drag and drop into the Lead Information area down below.
  5. Put a checkmark in the box next to the “Email Opt Out” field.
  6. Click “Save” located in the upper left corner of the dashboard.

Contacts

  4. Look for the “Email Opt Out” field on the Contact Layout dashboard at the top of the page and drag and drop into the Contact Information area down below.
  5. Put a checkmark in the box next to the “Email Opt Out” field.
  6. Click “Save” located in the upper left corner of the dashboard.
