Are mailto links tracked as clicks in reporting?

Currently VerticalResponse does not track clicks on mailto links (mailto:joe@domain.com for example) used within an email campaign. These links, designed to send an email to a specified address, work just fine within your email but will not be tracked in the click reporting for sent email campaigns.
