How do I prevent VR Data from importing into Salesforce?

When launching an email campaign uncheck the following box on the Launch page “Yes, I want to update my Leads & Contacts." 

• This prevents the initial insert of Sent for each recipient
• Clicking on the "Update Stats" after launch updates will not add stats for responses in the VR Email History object (Opened, Clicked, Bounced and Unsubscribed)
