When is Activity History for my Leads and Contacts updated with VerticalResponse email data?

Activity History is a standard object in Salesforce found under both Leads and Contacts. When sending an email through VerticalResponse the Activity History will be updated under the following circumstances:
  • The list was created from Leads and Contacts. To check, go to your lists page and look for your list. These show as List Type Salesforce Mass Email.
  • The Salesforce History option to update Leads and Contacts was selected on the last step of the email launch process. Conversely, if you want to prevent updates to your Activity History be sure to uncheck this box when launching your email.
 
If both of these conditions are met then the Activity History for the Leads and Contacts will record that the email was sent through VerticalResponse. Please note that the Activity History will not show any information on clicks, opens, bounces or unsubscribes. You will find this information for your individual Leads and Contacts within the VR Email History objects.
